I don’t know about you but I feel like this winter has really draagggged on. So yay for warmer weather and the beginning of Spring and the coming months of outdoor fun and entertainment!

The season starts with the stunning Yarra Valley winery Domaine Chandon hosting the Good Weekend Opera in the Vineyards on Friday 5 October and Saturday 6 October. This year’s season celebrates Giacomo Puccini and what better way to experience his passionate and romantic music than in the atmospheric Riddling Hall of Domaine Chandon, lined with lined with 40,000 bottles of aging sparkling wines – think of the acoustics with all that glass!

Time: Pre-concert drinks from 6:30pm; concert starts at 8pm

Where: Riddling Hall at Domaine Chandon, 727 Maroondah Highway, Coldstream VIC

  1. I’d love to win this. I went to the winery for the first time earlier this year and was absolutely mesmerised. A beautiful place making great wine (and now with music)! Marvellous.

  5. I am a big music theatre and opera buff, so much so that I’m studying to do it professionally. Add a glass of wine to that and I’m sold. Winning this would absolutely make the last weekend of my holidays perfect.

  44. Puccini is one of the most approachable opera composers. I live his works so much that I paid a pilgrimage to the Puccini Museum at Lucca (Puccini’s birthplace)in Tuscany. Loved it!

  46. Domaine Chandon is one of my favourite places. We have lots of interstate visitors whom we always take for a trip to Chandon. They are all blown away by the beauty of it (and the lovely bubbles too of course!)
