I had to laugh at your comment – yes the service is a bit space cadet but I didn’t find it a problem as not much service was required by us – just someone to bring out our meals. I haven’t tried the nachos but I have had friends argue that Trippy Taco is not that great, it just serves the same food in different shapes

Went on Friday after walking past hundreds of times and never going in. Tofu asado burrito was great, but messy!! Tacos were great though too very fresh tortillas. We also had corn chips with salsa and it was delicous as a snack. I still hate Mexican beers though… Horrible, rough and cheap tasting beers! I think I will go for a tequila sunrise next time.

I’ve not heard of Crazy Homies before but looked them up (http://www.crazyhomies.com/) and yes the menu does look very similar except that Trippy Taco is all vegetarian and probably a little more downmarket. Yes, Thomasina Miers is coming to the food festival – I really enjoyed the food at Wahaca when I was in London and I think it could really take off in Australia. There’s a great chain in Sydney called Guzman y Gomez which I really enjoyed (www.guzmanygomez.com).

Ooh yep I totally agree – love trippy taco and its great for me with all its gluten free goodies.

I love the tacos there and you must go back and try some nachos as well. So good! I definitely recommend the beers as well – yum!

I have converted meat and junk-food eating RM to Trippy Taco which says something about the quality of its product. Cheap and tastes like fast food, but is healthy! Thanks for the tip for the huevos rancheros/tofu rancheros too.

I freaking love Trippy Taco – vego, cheap, fresh, tasty, fast, lovely people and it’s equally good for a healthy meal or junk food fix. Tofu Asada burrito is my favourite too.

And unlike Lord of the Fries, who have really hone downhill since expanding, Trippies has gotten even better since it’s musical festival food van days.

The only thing I wouldn’t recommend is the huevos rancheros/tofu rancheros. Most expensive thing on the menu, yet the serving is pretty meagre in

(I’d avoid the coffee too, but they never claimed to be master baristas. Try the Mexican beers and tequilas!)
