Hi, I used to think the same about second hand shoes, but I’ve since discovered that some shoes can be thrown in the washing machine!! Then you can re-mold them to your feet. Would not work with leather shoes though.

I am the worst op shopper ever!! but the bargains.. WOW. I am a westie and had no idea any of these except the 2 biggies in Footscray existed. My next free day will be dedicated to hitting some of these shops! Great review!

I’ve definitely found that having a good tailor helps with op shop purchases – it no longer makes the clothes dirt cheap but at least you’re recycling and it’s fitted to your body. As for shoes, I’ve never really gone looking for shoes in op shops because I think it’s kinda gross to wear other people’s sweaty shoes (at least with clothes you can wash them) and they are never comfortable because they’ve been moulded to someone else’s feet. However, I have found some great shoe bargains recently with unworn shoes.

Oh God, my heart stopped when I read canary yellow Aldo stilettos – I think I’ve always had an aversion to op shops save when I need a costume for a party because I’ve never found anything that fits! But these look like they’ve got a much bigger selection, and I adore those white ballet flats. Thanks! =o)
