Autumn, my favourite season in Melbourne, has finally arrived.
A new season means a new excuse to buy a lovely outfit, so I was thrilled to check out Eco Fashionista‘s preview of the Autumn/Winter 2010 collection at their brand new showroom in Fitzroy.
The showroom, which is open for viewing by appointment, is located in a lovely space with cathedral windows – all the better for displaying the clothing, shoes and accessories of Eco Fashionista‘s ever-expanding range of sustainable designer fashion.

…and the red Dulton medicine cabinet converted into jewellery showcase.
The preview evening was hosted by the owner of Eco Fashionista, Alex Hume, over some champagne and delectable cupcakes.
Also in attendance was the ever-stylish fashion blogger Lady Melbourne who did a short talk about her approach to fashion and how to mix high-end items with op-shop purchases, as well as Jude, the young designer of the vintage lace and beaded neckpieces which I first spotted at the opening of studio and gallery space Oak off Chapel.
In fact, he designed specific pieces for some of the Eco Fashionista range and you can see that the gorgeous pieces really set off the elegant designs of the clothes.
As for me, this autumn I’m lusting after these butter-soft Ashley Watson clutches. Love.
