Over the years I’ve had numerous comments that there aren’t enough NOTs in the blog. My response always is that I choose where I go (unfortunately, I don’t get paid to write), so I’m naturally not going to choose to do something that I suspect will be dodgy. I liked Andre’s response; ‘well, that means you’re not disappointed often enough!’
So, this week’s curated to-do list:
- preview screening of another fashion flick, Valentino The Last Emperor on Wednesday 9 September (thanks to Marie Claire);
- Don’t Ban the Can will transform smelly Croft Alley with street art as part of the Croft Alley Project on Saturday 12 September; and
- the annual Spring Fair at Collingwood College on Sunday 13 September 11-4am. The Spring Fair is the school’s major fundraiser and a chance for the community to visit the pioneer school in the Kitchen Garden program started by Stephanie Alexander – check out the stone pizza oven that Grade 3 built and the lettuces I helped plant in the garden! Make sure you bring your shopping bags for the jams, lemon curd and olives the kids have been busily making and bottling in the last few months. That’s my pantry and Christmas gifts sorted.
