Can you believe it’s the end of October and they’re erecting the Christmas tree at City Square already? Events this week:
- preview of The Brothers Bloom with Mark Ruffalo, Adrien Brody and Rachel Weisz;
- preview of Jane Campion’s latest filmĀ Bright Star, starring the gorgeous Abbie Cornish;
- glamming it up for homeless shelter charity Many Rooms at the inaugural A Moment in Morocco Docklands Ball on Friday 30 October;
- checking out When the Rain Stops Falling, the latest production from MTC;
- Since I can’t always bring my photographic entourage with me, I’ve decided to improve my negligible photographic skills with Point & Shoot Camera Basics at the Centre for Adult Education on Sunday 1 November.

Joyce, you’re contemplating switching from Nalgene?! I never thought I’d see the day! (But this product looks the goods.)
Btw, Nude Expresso is a fab coffee store near Brick Lane run by Aussies and from what flask did the barrista drink from in between serving up creamy lattes? Nalgene!
Hi Huy
I agree, I think the 321 Water bottle is beautifully designed – Gretha described it to me as ‘Melbourne water in a sexy dress’. I’d love it if restaurants started using it instead of offering ‘still or sparkling’ – like in France, where the default option is a carafe of tap water.
