look delicious the style of the food is very nice. I think Melbourne have a lot of great chief cook master like this restaurant. Hi Kris, just to say if you do end up visiting Melbourne, I would second the recommendations on this page; a visit to Auction Rooms is a must. I visited whilst travelling in Australia and was impressed by the unique atmosphere and dining experience. If you are looking for a restaurant offering top quality food at reasonable prices then this is definitely the place to go! The staff are also hugely welcoming and will go out of their way to accommodate you.

Looks exotic. Presentation are on the darker shades, earth ones. I love it. Adding lime to the squid recipe gives me an idea. Thanks!

The food looks great, the furniture is minimalistic and the vibe is “classy”. I would definitely book this place for a stylish birthday part / xmas party with my business partners etc. Thank you for the post.

I guess it depends on what vibe you’re going for – I would recommend it for a casual lunch or dinner Christmas party, and I think they have seating in the courtyard area at the back where you could be separate from the main dining room. I can’t recommend Auction Rooms highly enough, I hope you do get to try it out sometime.

Mmm, that duck salad looks great! I was wanting to book this plae for a work xmas party, but was a little afraid the vibe wouldn’t be right. Will definitely try it out at some other stage, though.
